We will show you how to taste, what flavours to look for, and how to appear like you have years of experience in 2 weeks.

Level: This course assumes no prior knowledge or experience. 

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The 2 Introduction to Wine Course runs over 2 consecutive weeks and is the perfect option for anyone with wanting to start to learn about wine.

Over 20 wines are tasted throughout the course with topics covered including

  • How to taste wine
  • How to identify flavours and aromas
  • Varietal and Regional Characteristics
  • Food and Wine Matching
  • How to buy and store or order and drink wine
  • Effect of glassware

The aim of the course is to give participants a rounded introduction to wine and allow participants to more fully understand the major grapes, regions and be able to identify what they like.

The course is held 6-8 times teach year.


FOOD

Cheese boards and antipasto will be provided. We do however recommend a light meal or snack before the tasting.


VENUE

This event will be held at 'The Vineyard' Tasting Room, Sydney Wine Centre, Level 1, 119 Harris Street, Pyrmont.
