Charles H Vintage

Charles Heidsieck have made major changes over the past few years, and the latest releases are something to behold. Made from a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, this 2000 vintage is quite power-packed, with rich aromas of roasted nuts, red berries, ginger, honey and citrus climbing out of the glass. The palate is quite plush and mouth filling, with lots of fruit and nuttiness, licks of peaches and cream, a fine bubble, and a long, lingering finish with a kick of buttered toast in the tail. A lovely champagne that should live for a few more years yet.
